London Metal Exchange stocks rose as lead fell 4 percent on profit-taking. In China, security controls on explosives ahead of the Olympics and ongoing crackdowns on small mines are starting to tighten supply of lead and zinc concentrate in the country, traders and analysts said on Wednesday. Lead was up 3.8 percent as LME stocks fell.   Lead for delivery in three months MPB3, mainly used in batteries, jumped 3.8 percent to $2,195 per tonne as LME stocks fell 525 tonnes to 90,725. By mid-session lead traded at $2,180, up $65. Read the full article here.
